This vintage note showcases a northern region that gets no sunlight for several weeks during this time of year.

Denomination: 5 Kroner

Varieties: Pick# 30b through 30g have different dates, signatures and prefixes.

What makes it special? The back of the note shows Lofoten, a coastal region about 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle. The fishing boat scene is inspired by artwork done by renowned Norwegian painter Axel Revold.

Did you know? This time of year, Lofoten has no daylight. The sun set on December 7 and won't rise again until January 5.
