With Christmas approaching, this fun banknote includes a familiar holiday figure.

Varieties: PMG has also graded the similar NH160G8a (1857-60s) and NH160G8PP (Proprietary Proof).

What makes it special? This banknote was issued by the White Mountain Bank of Lancaster, New Hampshire. The top of the note features a vignette of Santa Claus.

Did you know? The famous poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas" was first published in the 1820s. It enshrined many of the traits associated with Santa Claus today, including his sleigh pulled by reindeer.
