July 20 is International Chess Day, so here's a piece of currency that shows a grandmaster.

What makes it special? The front of the note shows Tigran Petrosian, a chess grandmaster from Soviet Armenia who popularized chess in his homeland. He was world chess champion from 1963 to 1969. The back of the note shows a landmark in Armenia's capital, Yerevan: the Tigran Petrosian Chess House, which serves as that nation's headquarters for chess.
