Posted on 5/20/2025
Three extremely rare Netherlands banknotes certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) are attracting attention ahead of the HKINF World Paper Money Signature Auction being held on Heritage Auctions’ online platform. Online bidding for the auction is set to begin before the end of May, with the auction ending on June 17, 2025.
The three Netherlands, Nederlandsche Bank 1814-38 notes from the Toele Collection include a 25 Gulden graded PMG 20 Very Fine (lot 22503), a 100 Gulden graded PMG 25 Very Fine (lot 22504) and a 1,000 Gulden graded PMG 35 Choice Very Fine (lot 22505). All three of these “Red Robin” notes are rarely seen at auction, and each have an estimate of at least $30,000.
