PMG Registry Featured Set: Malaysia Complete Set

Posted on 11/16/2021

This month’s featured set belongs to Alan Collection Malaysia

This month, we take a long journey to one of the most popular countries in the international PMG collecting community: Malaysia. Amazingly, PMG has graded almost 390,000 Malaysian notes; this figure trails only the US and China. We are featuring an extensive set by Alan Collection Malaysia, Alan Malaysia Complete set with replacements, found here.

Malaysia, Bank Negara ND (1981) 100 Ringgit (Pick# 17A, KNB23a), graded PMG 65 Gem Uncirculated EPQ.

Alan began this set late in 2016 and has been meticulously planning and expanding this impressive collection. Given that this set type requires all varieties printed since 1967, completion is not an easy task. Alan has shown he is not daunted by the challenge. Boasting an impressive 73 notes with images and comments for all, Alan’s set currently sits comfortably in first place. Be sure to check out his comprehensive slideshow here for a historic walk through the history of modern Malaysian currency.

Thank you, Alan, for sharing your passion for collecting with this PMG Registry Set and also with so many other personal PMG collections you have shared. We truly appreciate your dedication to PMG over the years, and we look forward to future updates you will be making to this set and so many others!

Would you like your set to be chosen for a future article? 100% completion in a set is not always feasible. Our team features sets with thoughtful comments and images for their set descriptions and notes. It may be your set! Stay tuned.
