PMG Registry Featured Set: Native Wildlife on Modern Venezuelan Bolivars

We close out 2020 by presenting a small and very informative Banco Central de Venezuela, 2000-2017 Issue set by Revenant found here.

Revenant began building this Venezuelan set just this past July with his most recent addition last month. The set category is not particularly large nor is it difficult to complete. However, what is most notable about this set is the author’s attention to the history behind the currency, including primary figures, conflicts and even the wildlife of Venezuela.

From mention of Guaicaipuro, a 16th century native Venezuelan chief, to Simon Bolivar, who helped lead Venezuela to independence in 1821, Revenant touches base on many dynamic and influential Venezuelan figures.

On the lighter side, one can read about tree-climbing spectacled bears, American harpy eagles, giant armadillos, red siskins and many other native creatures featured on the modern Bolivares. Revenant has uploaded images for all 13 of his notes; the slideshow is a true pleasure to view.
