PMG-certified Dual Denomination Error Among Highlights of Stack's Sale

An outstanding dual denomination error certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) is among the finest pieces being featured in the Stack’s Bowers November 2020 – Session 6 sale. Online bidding is now open and ends November 12th.
The 1914 Large Federal Reserve Note Boston $20/$10 Dual Denomination Error is graded PMG 50 About Uncirculated and has an estimate of $30,000 to $50,000. This phenomenal rarity comes from a cut sheet of four, the only known examples from the Boston issue. These notes were first offered as part of the renowned Albert A. Grinnell collection in a Barney Bluestone’s 1946 auction, where they sold for an astounding $3,550.

Dual denomination error notes are considered to be the king of paper money errors and thus coveted collectors’ items. The 1914 $20/$10 specimen is one of the most sought-after examples for its exceptional preservation and historical significance. It has been over ten years since it was last offered for public engagement and is one of the most anticipated notes in the sale.
