NGC and PMG-certified Chinese Coins and Notes Featured in Stack’s Bowers Auction in Hong Kong, China

The Hong Kong Auction is offering hundreds of NGC-certified coins and PMG-certified notes.

Chinese and world coins and notes certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) and Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) are being offered in Stack’s Bowers Hong Kong October Auction held from October 5-9, 2020. Online bidding is now open.

The Provincial Issues sale on October 7 is offering a striking NGC-certified China – Chekiang ND (1899) L&M-283 50 Cents graded NGC MS 67 from the W&B Capital Collection. It has an estimate of $75,000 to $125,000, one of the highest in the session. This exceptional Chinese coin is the finest graded of its kind for its sharp strike and flawless surfaces.

Other NGC-Certified highlights offered in Session D (October 7) include:

The Chinese and World Paper Money sale on October 5 is offering a notable PMG-certified Front & Back Beijing 10 Yuan Front Test Note graded PMG 67 Superb Gem Uncirculated EPQ and a Beijing 10 Yuan Back Test Note graded PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated. This two-piece set has an estimate of $40,000 to $60,000 USD. The 10 Yuan Front & Back test notes from the Beijing Banknote Printing Company are rarely seen at auction together, making this a highly sought-after Chinese note for any collector.
