PMG-certified Highlights in Upcoming Spink Sale

World banknotes certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) highlight a May Spink sale. Online bidding for The Numismatic Collector’s Series Sale is now open with the auction ending on May 10 and 11. Specialists are available to provide information and answer questions via the Spink website.
Among the most anticipated notes in the Numismatic Collector’s Series sale is a very rare Hong Kong, China 1905-10 10 Dollars graded PMG 20 Very Fine. It is the earliest date of this type and one of only three known notes. It has an estimated sales price of HK$400,000 to HK$600,000 (about $51,600 to $77,400 USD).

Another highlight of the sale is a Hong Kong, China 1912 500 Dollars Specimen graded PMG 40 Extremely Fine. This first date of issue note is highly sought after due to its geometric design at the center of the note (commonly referred to as the “Spider Web”). It has an estimated sales price of HK$350,000 to HK$500,000 (about $45,200 to $64,500 USD).
