Large-denomination Notes Among PMG-certified Rarities in Spotlight at April Heritage Sales

Two large-denomination banknotes that are each expected to sell for six figures are among the thousands of notes certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) that are featured in three currency sales being conducted by Heritage Auctions in April 2020.
Originally scheduled to be held in conjunction with the Central States Numismatic Society convention in Chicago, the auctions are now based in Heritage's hometown of Dallas with online bidding. Here are PMG-certified highlights in the sales, including one featuring world rarities from the Drs. Joanne and Edward Dauer Collection, in which all 196 lots are PMG-certified:

- a 1918 $1,000 Federal Reserve Note (San Francisco) graded PMG 35 Choice Very Fine, with an estimate of $32,500 and up
- an 1862 $50 Legal Tender graded PMG 20 Very Fine, with an estimate of $32,500 and up.

- an East Africa Currency Board 1920 10 Florins = 1 Pound graded PMG 20 Very Fine NET, with an estimate of $30,000 to $40,000
- a Fiji 1954 20 Pound graded PMG 30 Very Fine, with an estimate of $20,000 to $25,000.
