PMG-certified World Banknotes Among the Stars at Auction Presented by CGB

An extraordinary selection of almost 150 world banknotes certified by Paper Money Guaranty™ (PMG™), nearly all of them beautiful specimens, will be offered at an April 7 live and online auction presented by the French house CGB Numismatique Paris.

The notes span the globe and the decades. From the 1920s to the early 1980s, they include everything from Austria to Australia, Finland to French West Africa, the German Federal Republic to Guadeloupe, Indonesia to Israel, Tunisia to Tahiti.

Online bids are being accepted already; the live bids will begin at 2 p.m. (Paris time) April 7, 2020.

One of the PMG-certified stars is an Austria 1930 1,000 Schilling Specimen, Pick# 98s, graded PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated, being offered with a presale estimate of €18,000 (about $20,160 USD).

Another Specimen banknote, a Vietnam Undated (1955-56) 1,000 Dong, Pick# 4As, graded PMG 50 About Uncirculated EPQ has an estimate of €15,000 (about $16,800 USD).

A particularly stunning Singapore Undated (1987) $10,000 Specimen, Pick# 26s, graded PMG 65 Gem Uncirculated EPQ, has an estimate of €6,000 (about $6,720 USD).

An Australia Undated (1984) $100 Specimen, Pick# 48s, graded PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated EPQ, has an estimate of €4,000 (about $4,480 USD).

A French Indo-China Undated (1951) 1,000 Piastres Specimen, Pick# 84s1, graded PMG 58 Choice About Uncirculated EPQ, has an estimate of €3,000 (about $3,360 USD).

Another French Indo-China Undated (1925-26) 100 Piastres Specimen, Pick# 51as, graded PMG 45 Choice Extremely Fine, also has an estimate of €3,000 (about $3,360 USD).

A French India Undated (1936) 50 Roupies Specimen, Pick# 7as, graded PMG 50 About Uncirculated EPQ, also has an estimate of €3,000 (about $3,360 USD).
