PMG Announces Year of the Rat Label

Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) is offering a certification label ready to celebrate the Year of the Rat, which begins Jan. 25, 2020. It’s the latest in the company’s popular Lunar Series of special labels celebrating the Chinese 12-year zodiac cycle.

It can be selected for numismatic items issued by a variety of countries to celebrate the Chinese zodiac as well as with any other banknote dated 2020.

The PMG labels include an image of a rat in red ink, a color associated with good luck and happiness. It’s also the color used for envelopes with “lucky money” traditionally given to children to mark the new year.

The labels are available by request to all submitters of Year of the Rat notes or any 2020 notes for a fee of $5 per note. Customers who want this label should write in bold letters on their submission form: “Year of the Rat Label 89.”
