PMG Notes Realize Strong Results at Trigometric Auction

Trigometric, one of the most respected numismatic firms in Malaysia, recently hosted Auction 9, on March 14, 2019, featuring hundreds of fine collectibles, including banknotes graded by PMG and coins graded by NGC. The auction featured a number of exceptional results for PMG-certified notes that achieved strong prices. Below is a list of the highlights:
PMG
- Lot 9391 - Malaysia (Bank Negara) ND (1967-72) 1 Ringgit, graded PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45. This is the first-ever replacement of solid number banknotes for the first series. Realized MYR 20,000.
- Lot 9405 - Malaysia (Bank Negara) ND (1996-99) 2 Ringgit, Set of 20 notes with fancy serial numbers, graded PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ to Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ. This set has never been auctioned and is believed to be the only set since the introduction of Malaysia Ringgit. Realized MYR 130,000.
- Lot 9124 - China 1980 50 Yuan, graded PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. Realized MYR 1,900.
- Lot 9139 - China 2000 100 Yuan Commemorative - Replacement/Star, graded PMG Superb Gem Uncirculated 68 EPQ. Realized MYR 4,000.
- Lot 9140 - China 2008 Beijing 2008 Olympic Games 10 Yuan , graded PMG GEm Uncirculated 66 EPQ. Realized MYR 2,500.
- Lot 9202 - Malaysia (Bank Negara) ND (1967) 100 Ringgit, graded PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ. Realized MYR 11,000.
- Lot 9467 - Malaysia (Bank Negara) ND (1981-83) 50 Ringgit, graded PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. Realized MYR 16,000.
NGC
- Lot 9833 - China 1914 Dollar, graded NGC MS 62. Realized MYR 1,800.
- Lot 9850 - Straits Settlements 1926 5 Cents, graded NGC MS 67. Realized MYR 420.
