PMG-graded Notes and NGC-graded Coins Among Highlights in Spink Hong Kong(China) Auction

PMG-graded banknotes and NGC-graded coins are among the highlights of Spink's Banknotes, Bonds & Shares and Coins of China and Hong Kong, China(China) Sale auction, to be held at Spink China in Hong Kong(China) January 4-6, 2019.
One highlight of the Spink auction is this rare Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation note. Only a handful of these notes are known to exist. The 1921-23 50 Dollar note, graded PMG 25 Very Fine, has an estimate of HK$350,000 to HK$450,000 (about $47,000 USD to $57,000 USD).

- Lot 2995 - Hong Kong(China), Chartered Bank of India, Australia & China, 1934 500 Dollars, graded PMG 35 Choice Very Fine. Estimate: HK$140,000 to HK$180,000.
- Lot 2433 - Hong Kong(China), Mercantile Bank of India, 1958-59 100 Dollars, graded PMG 35 Choice Very Fine EPQ. Estimate: HK$115,000 to HK$140,000.
- Lot 684 - Hong Kong(China), Deutsch Asiatische Bank, 1907 25 Dollars, graded PMG 40 Extremely Fine. Estimate: HK$110,000 to HK$130,000.
- Lot 2163 (partial set of 5 notes all with serial number AA123456) - Macau, China, Banco Nacional Ultramarino, 2006 10, 20, 100, 500 and 1000 Patacas, graded from PMG 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ to PMG 68 Superb Gem Uncirculated EPQ. Estimate: HK$110,000 to HK$150,000.
- Lot 2630 - Hong Kong(China), HK & Shanghai Banking Corp., 1927 50 Dollars, graded PMG 45 Choice Extremely Fine EPQ. Estimate: HK$110,000 to HK$130,000.
- Lot 2427 - Hong Kong(China), Mercantile Bank of India, 1941 50 Dollars, graded PMG 25 Very Fine. Estimate: HK$100,000 to HK$120,000.

NGC highlights
- Lot 1597 (pair of coins) - People's Republic of China, 1983 Year of the Pig Proof Silver 10 Yuan and Proof Gold 150 Yuan, graded NGC PF 69 Ultra Cameo and NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo respectively. Estimate: HK$38,000 to HK$45,000.
- Lot 1411 - China, 1902 Silver 10 Cents, graded NGC MS 63. Estimate: HK$28,000 to HK$32,000.
