PMG Attributing New Variety of China 1980 2 Yuan Notes

Paper Money Guaranty (PMG) is now attributing a new variety of China's 1980 2 Yuan note.
Attributed as 885af, these notes exhibit fluorescence under ultraviolent light, including a distinctive pattern on the back that resembles green diamonds. (The “f” stands for fluorescence.)

These fluorescent properties have also been observed on replacement notes , which will be attributed as 885af*.
These varieties will be attributed automatically for no additional fee for eligible notes.

The "Fluorescent Green Diamonds" pedigree is the only additional notation that will be used with Pick 885af and Pick 885af*. It is used exclusively for submissions from a specific PMG Authorized Dealer.
No additional attributions or special pedigrees will be accepted for this variety.
This new variety follows PMG’s decision to attribute other Chinese fluorescent varieties, including:
