PMG Expands Eligible Tiers for First Series PRC Notes

Paper Money Guaranty (PMG) has announced that First Series People’s Republic of China notes can now be graded using the Standard and Economy tiers, offering a more cost-effective solution for submitters of these notes.

Previously, all Chinese notes issued from 1948 through the 1953 First Series notes (Pick numbers 800 to 859) needed to be submitted under Express. The addition of new graders and the development of advanced authentication equipment, however, has led PMG to determine that these notes may now be submitted under any tier except for bulk grading.

Online submission forms have been updated to reflect this change. Submitters who have a paper form or who previously downloaded an online form are advised that this change supersedes what may be printed on those forms.
