From the Grading Room

Two highlights from the grading room this month include a California national banknote and a Germany Occupation banknote.

Los Angeles, California The American National Bank Charter #6545 PMG Extremely Fine 40

This beautiful 1902 Red Seal has several attributes that make it a stellar note. Not only is it a red seal from a competitive state for national banknotes, but it is also a serial number 1 note, plate position A. This national banknote most definitely falls into the “Trophy National” category.

Romania, Banca Generala Romana Pick# M8 1000 Lei PMG Choice Uncirculated 64EPQ

This Germany Occupation banknote from WWI was submitted by one of our younger collectors who obviously has a good eye for nice banknotes. Larger notes such as this one can be hard to find in true uncirculated condition, as many were mishandled at the very least, causing corner folds or other issues.
