Wójcicki Offers Polish Rarities Certified by NGC and PMG

Numismatic rarities certified by NGC® and PMG® from a period of several centuries are being offered in an auction presented by Wójcicki - Polski Dom Aukcyjny. Bidding is already underway for the 18th Premium Auction, being held from September 26 to October 2, 2026.

Among the top highlights is a Poland 1753 EDC Taler graded NGC MS 61 and pedigreed to Potocki (lot 280), with a starting price of €4,684 (about $5,300). This coin shows Augustus III, who was king of Poland from 1733 until his death in 1763. Only two examples of this catalog number are listed in the NGC Census, with this one by far the higher graded.

Meanwhile, a Germany 1717 IGS Saxony Taler graded NGC MS 62 (lot 272) has a starting price of €4,684 (about $5,300). This coin pays tribue to Princess Anna Sophie of Denmark, who passed away in 1717. She was the mother of Augustus II the Strong, who served as king of Poland from 1697 to 1706. It is one of five in the NGC Census, and due to its size, it is encapsulated in an NGC Oversize Holder.

- a Poland 1636 II Taler graded NGC UNC Details (lot 258), with a starting price of €3,513 (about $4,000)
- a Poland 1659 HDL Thorn Ducat graded NGC AU Details (lot 262), with a starting price of €3,513 (about $4,000)

The auction also includes PMG-certified highlights, including a Poland, Bank Polski 1936 50 Zlotych graded PMG 58 Choice About Uncirculated EPQ (lot 541), which has a starting price of €3,513 (about $4,000). This vintage note has additional value to collectors thanks to its Radar Serial Number, which reads the same forward and backward.
Other PMG-certified highlights in this auction include:
- a Danzig, Bank of Danzig 1924 500 Gulden graded PMG 65 Gem Uncirculated EPQ (lot 674), with a starting price of €3,513 (about $4,00)

- a Poland, Bank Polski 1924 10 Zlotych graded PMG 25 Very Fine NET (lot 705), with a starting poice of €2,810 (about $3,200)
- a Poland, Treasury Note 1794 10 Zlotych graded PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated (lot 486), with a starting price of €1,171 (about $1,300)
