A. Karamitsos Offers Hundreds of Rare Greek Notes Certified by PMG

The top lot in the auction is a Greece, National Bank 1871-86 25 Drachmai graded PMG 15 Choice Fine NET (lot 6484), with a starting price of €10,000 (about $11,000). One of only five of this exact catalog number in the PMG Population Report, it depicts Georgios Stavros, a revolutionary who later helped establish the National Bank of Greece and served as its first governor — a post he held until his death in 1869.
