Crown Currency Offers Scores of PMG-certified 'Top Pops'

Nearly 200 "Top Pops" are among more than 1,200 notes certified by PMG® that are being offered in a Crown Currency Auctions sale. Online bidding is already underway for Crown Currency Live Auction 57, which will be held August 5-7, 2026.

Among the "Top Pops" (notes unsurpassed in grade in the PMG Population Report) are a Netherlands, Nederlandsche Bank 1929-31 50 Gulden graded PMG 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ (lot 1051) and an Australia, Reserve Bank 2001 5 Dollars Commemorative graded PMG 70★ Gem Uncirculated EPQ (lot 91). The Netherlands note is among fewer than 80 examples of its exact catalog number in the Pop Report, while the Australia note is among 360 total. The Australia note is in elite company, having earned the highest grade on the PMG Grading Scale.

• a Slovakia, National Bank 2000 5,000 Korun Commemorative graded PMG 67 Superb Gem Uncirculated EPQ (lot 1578)
• a Southern Rhodesia / British Administration 1955 5 Pounds graded PMG 25 Very Fine (lot 1608)
• a Suriname, Centrale Bank 2000 25,000 Gulden graded PMG 67 Superb Gem Uncirculated EPQ (lot 1637)

The auction also includes more than 150 NGC®-certified coins and medals, including two 2024 Hong Kong International Numismatic Fair medals, one brass gilt and the other silver gilt (lot 2081). Depicting a dragon and the Hong Kong skyline, each earned a grade of NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo, making them Top Pops.
