Among the highlights of this auction is a Great Britain 1798-1805 Bank of England £10 pedigreed to The Lou Manzi Collection and graded PMG 30 Very Fine NET (lot 98), with an estimate of £12,000 to £16,000 (about $16,000 to $21,000). This note was issued during the French Revolutionary Wars, a global conflict that paved the way for Napoleon to seize control of France. Following the suspension of gold payments in 1797 under the Bank Restriction Act, paper currency became increasingly important as Britain financed its war effort against France.

These early notes were printed on large sheets with handwritten signatures and serial numbers. The sole example of its catalog number in the PMG Population Report, this note originated from The Lou Manzi Collection, which is among the all-time finest assemblages of British banknotes.
