PMG Protects Its Trademarks; Secures Interim Injunction in India Trademark Infringement Case

PMG®, a leading third-party paper money grading and authentication company, has obtained an interim injunction from the Delhi High Court in India against operators using the “PMGIndia” name and related branding in connection with paper money grading services.
One of the world’s most recognized paper money grading companies, PMG serves collectors, dealers, and institutions across the globe. The company routinely monitors and protects its trademarks and intellectual property rights internationally to preserve confidence in the marketplace and ensure collectors can clearly identify authentic PMG services.
The Hon’ble Delhi High Court directed the proprietors of “PMGIndia” to cease use of marks found to infringe PMG’s registered trademarks. The court also ordered the removal of associated social media accounts and directed GoDaddy and its subsidiaries to suspend the domain pmgindia.org.
The interim injunction follows legal action filed by PMG to address unauthorized use of branding that PMG asserted was likely to cause confusion within the global numismatic marketplace.
“For collectors, trust and authenticity are everything,” said Steve Eichenbaum, CEO of the Certified Collectibles Group, of which PMG is part. “PMG has spent years building a reputation for integrity, consistency, and transparency in third-party grading. We take the protection of our intellectual property and our brand identity seriously because it helps safeguard collectors and the marketplace from confusion.”
