Vintage Netherlands Note Among Top PMG-graded Highlights in Crown Currency Auction

The May auction also includes scores of rare coins certified by NGC.

More than 800 banknotes certified by PMG® and dozens of coins certified by NGC® are being offered in an auction that includes many vintage rarities from the Netherlands and its former colonies. Bidding is already underway in Crown Currency Live Auction 53, which concludes on May 7-8, 2026.

One of the top lots in the auction is a Netherlands, State Note 1878-94 10 Gulden graded PMG 20 Very Fine (lot 793), which is likely to sell for several thousand dollars. This is one of 26 examples of this catalog number in the PMG Population Report, with only nine graded higher.
