Vintage Proofs Among More than 1,200 PMG-certified Notes Offered by Crown Currency

Crown Currency Auctions is offering rare Proofs among more than 1,200 notes certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) in an upcoming sale. Online bidding is already underway for Auction 49, with the auction concluding February 2-3, 2026.

The auction's highlights include a Brazil, Banco da Republica 1893 10 Mil Reis graded PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated and Netherlands, Nederlandsche Bank 1914 10 Gulden Proof graded PMG 53 About Uncirculated EPQ and pedigreed to the Toele Collection. A Proof represents a stage in a banknote's design process prior to its approval for production for circulation. This is the only example of this particular Brazil Proof in the PMG Population Report, and one of only two Proofs of this particular Netherlands note that are listed there.
