The top note in the January auction realized more than $300,000.

Six-figure prices were realized by a pair of large-denomination rarities that were among more than 1,300 lots certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) offered in a Heritage Auctions sale. The FUN US Currency Signature Auction was held January 13-16, 2026.

The top lot in the auction was a 1934 $10,000 Federal Reserve Note (Boston) graded PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated (lot 22268), which realized $317,200. Meanwhile, a 1934 $10,000 Federal Reserve Note (Atlanta) graded PMG 30 Very Fine (lot 22269) realized $183,000. These notes, which were issued in extremely limited quantities for major transactions by financial institutions, are highly sought after by collectors today.
