PMG Year of the Horse Label Now Available

The PMG Year of the Horse label is now available to celebrate the next animal in the lunar calendar.

Celebrate banknotes issued for the next animal in the lunar calendar with a new certification label offered by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®). The PMG Year of the Horse label is the latest addition to the popular Lunar Series of special labels, which spotlight the Chinese Zodiac.

The Chinese calendar, rooted in ancient lunar cycles, assigns an animal sign to each year in a repeating 12-year cycle, with each animal representing specific traits. The Year of the Horse is the seventh in this cycle, and people born under this sign are thought to embody qualities of the horse: energy, independence and an adventurous spirit. Celebrated most recently in 2014, the next Year of the Horse begins on February 17, 2026.
