The top PMG-certified highlight is a Sarawak, Government of Sarawak 1929 50 Dollars Specimen graded PMG 45 Choice Extremely Fine (lot 1118) with a starting price of €30,000 (about $35,000). The front of the note shows Charles Vyner Brooke, the last of the three White Rajahs who ruled Sarawak for about a century starting in 1841. Only a few high-denomination notes survive from Sarawak, which today is part of Malaysia. The PMG Population Report shows only a dozen of the 100 Dollar denomination and only 14 of the 50 Dollar denomination, including Specimens and Proofs.
