'Top Pop' Coin and Low Serial Number Note Among Crown Currency Highlights

A selection of more than 1,000 banknotes certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) and more than 100 coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company® (NGC®) are being offered in an auction that includes a low serial number rarity. Bidding is already underway in Crown Currency Live Auction 46, which concludes on December 1-2, 2025.
One of the top banknotes in the sale is a Bermuda / British Administration 1978-82 50 Dollars with Serial Number 9 graded PMG 67 Superb Gem Uncirculated (lot 94). In addition to its low serial number, this paper money rarity from the Atlantic island territory is also noteworthy for being surpassed in the PMG Population Report by only a single example.

Among the NGC-certified highlights is an India VS1985(1928) Mewar Rupee - Thick Characters graded NGC MS 66 (lot 1261). This is one of more than two dozen "top pop" coins in this auction that are unsurpassed in the NGC Census; others are from British West Africa, Germany, Great Britain, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Nepal, the Netherlands East Indies, South Africa and Thailand.
