PMG-certified Dutch Rarities from the Beuth Collection Offered in Künker Auction

Some of the highlights include a group of rare Gulden notes, each with Serial Number 1.

Hundreds of Dutch rarities certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) and pedigreed to the Beuth Collection are sparking interest in an ongoing Künker sale. The eLive Premium Auction 430 is set to end on October 20, 2025.

Three Netherlands State Notes with Serial Number 1 are turning heads in the sale. The notes include an 1846 5 Gulden graded PMG 35 Choice Very Fine (lot 3054), an 1846 10 Gulden graded PMG 35 Choice Very Fine (lot 3076) and an 1849 10 Gulden graded PMG 20 Very Fine (lot 3077). Each note has a starting price ranging from €10,000 to €30,000 (about $12,000 to $35,000). These three notes are extremely rare, with only three examples of each in the PMG Population Report. Both of the 1846 notes are uncirculated, and all three bear the handwritten Serial Number 1.

  • a Netherlands, State Note 1878-94 10 Gulden graded PMG 25 Very Fine (lot 3084) with a starting price of €10,000 (about $12,000)
  • a Netherlands 1814-38 40 Gulden graded PMG 20 Very Fine NET (lot 3221) with a starting price of €10,000 (about $12,000)
  • a Netherlands 1884-1914 50 Gulden graded PMG 20 Very Fine NET (lot 3230) with a starting price of €10,000 (about $12,000)
  • a Netherlands 1910-21 200 Gulden graded PMG 30 Very Fine (lot 3297) with a starting price of €10,000 (about $12,000)
