Katz Offers Serbia Rarity and Other PMG-certified Notes

Featured in this auction is a Kingdom of Serbia, Chartered National Bank 1905 20 Dinara (Zlatu) graded PMG 58 Choice About Uncirculated (lot 3723). This beautifully designed banknote reflects the nation’s modernization and growth prior to the upheavals of the Balkan Wars and World War I. With intricate engravings, including symbols of Serbian heritage and economic pride, the note was part of Serbia’s effort to assert its sovereignty and stabilize its currency. The note is in excellent shape: Of the mere 22 issued examples of this catalog number in the PMG Population Report, none are graded higher.
