PMG-certified Set of 19 Zimbabwe 'Trillion' Notes in World Banknote Auctions Sale

A wide selection of collectible banknotes from Zimbabwe, Libya, Bahrain and more, all certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®), are available in the World Banknote Auctions World Currency Sale, which opened on July 3, 2023, and will close on July 19, 2023.

The PMG-certified lot projected to top the sale is a set of 19 Zimbabwe 2007-08 Hyperinflation Specimens (lot 46307), with an estimate of $15,000 to $20,000.

This is an uncommon and exceptionally scarce collection of Specimens from the renowned “Trillion” series, originating from Zimbabwe and issued during a brief yet extraordinary period of hyperinflation in the African nation. Examples from this series are rare, and while this set is not complete, it is believed that many of these notes are the first to be offered in Specimen form.
