Posted on 4/11/2023

The sale includes over 200 PMG-graded US notes, including one expected to sell for at least $50,000.

An extremely rare US Territorial note from Arizona that has been certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) is the top highlight of an upcoming World Banknote Auctions sale. Bidding is already underway for the World Banknote Auctions US Currency Sale 2, which will be held on April 14, 2023.

The top note in the sale is a Clifton, Territory of Arizona 1882 $10 National Bank Note graded PMG 25 Very Fine and pedigreed to the Peter Huntoon Collection. Territorial notes, like this one that pre-dates Arizona’s entry into the union, are rare and highly sought-after. Additionally, the note is pedigreed to one of the most well-known collections of Arizona Nationals ever assembled: the Peter Huntoon Collection. This note has an estimate of $50,000 to $60,000.
