The January auction also includes an impressive selection of fancy serial numbers and error notes.

A key-date Silver Certificate is among over 400 PMG-certified notes in an upcoming Goldberg Auctioneers sale. Bidding is already underway for the notes, which are being offered in Session 1 and 2 of the Pre-Long Beach Auction, being held January 27, 2023.

The top note in the auction is a 1933 $10 Silver Certificate graded PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated, (lot 201) with an estimate of $12,000 to $20,000. This particular Friedberg number is the key to forming a complete set of Small Size Silver Certificates. The PMG Population Report contains a mere 73 examples, most of which are in circulated grades.
