PMG-certified Southeast Asian Note Realizes Six Figures in Trigometric Sale

Hundreds of rare notes from Southeast Asia that are certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) were auctioned in a four-part Trigometric sale held October 8-16, 2022.
The top PMG-certified lot in the auction was a Malaya 1942; ND (1945) 1,000 Dollars Color Trial Specimen graded PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated NET (Session 2, lot 2310). One of only six examples in the PMG Population Report, this rare note far exceeded its pre-auction estimate of RM20,000 to RM400,000 and realized an amazing RM708,000 (about $150,000).
