The rarities include Hong Kong Specimens and early People's Republic of China notes.

Over 500 banknotes certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®), including some impressive Chinese rarities, are featured in an upcoming Heritage sale. Bidding is already underway for the HKINF World Paper Money Signature Auction - Hong Kong, being held July 6, 2022.

Most of the lots are PMG-certified, including the top two collectibles in the auction. One of them is a Hong Kong 1921-23 50 Dollars Specimen graded PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated (lot 23434). The PMG Population Report includes only nine examples of this Specimen, which was issued by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. It has an estimate of at least $30,000.

The other top lot is a China / People's Republic 1949 100 Yuan graded PMG 65 Gem Uncirculated EPQ (lot 23182). Due to the economic conditions of the time, these notes quickly lost their purchasing power and are relatively rare today. This example has an estimate of at least $30,000.
