Over 2,500 PMG-certified Banknotes Offered in Monetarium Auction

Two PMG-graded notes from the Straits Settlements may sell for over $100,000 in the April sale.

A wide selection of over 2,500 world banknotes certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) is in an upcoming Monetarium auction. Online bidding is currently underway for Auction 30, with sessions concluding on April 15, 16, 17, 22, 23 and 24, 2022.

A top offering is a Straits Settlements / British Administration 1901 100 Dollars graded PMG 25 Very Fine (lot 5039), with an estimate of SGD140,000 to SGD160,000 (about $102,500 to $117,200). The Straits Settlements were a group of British territories in Southeast Asia that included Singapore.

Another top lot is a Straits Settlements / British Administration 1925-27 100 Dollars graded PMG 30 Very Fine (lot 5147), with an estimate of SGD120,000 to SGD150,000 (about $88,000 to $110,000).
