PMG Highlights in January French Auction

PMG-certified world notes garner robust prices at CGB Numismatique's Paris Auction.

CGB Numismatique in Paris hosted its Paper Money Live Auction on January 10, 2017. The sale featured a number of impressive PMG-certified world notes, including the following highlights:

  • Lot 42 - West African States - Mali, 1961 "Specimen Proof," 100 Francs , PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. Estimate 1 200 € (US $1,255). Realized 1 500 € (US $1,579).
  • Lot 43 - West African States - Mali, 1959-61 "Specimen Proof," 500 Francs , PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 NET. Estimate 1 100 € (US $1,150). Realized 2 200 € (US $2,315).
  • Lot 45 (shown below) - West African States - Mali, 1959-61 "Specimen Proof," 1000 Francs , PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. Estimate 1 200 € (US $1,255). Realized 2 000 € (US $2,105).

  • Lot 55 - West African States - Togo, 1961-65 "Specimen Proof," 5000 Francs , PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. Estimate 1 500 € (US $1,568). Realized 2 600 € (US $2,736).
  • Lot 61 (shown below) - Great Britain, 1944 Specimen, 5 Pounds, PMG About Uncirculated 55 EPQ. Estimate 1 600 € (US $1,673). Realized 2 150 € (US $2,263).
