Panama Canal Commemorative Program - 100th Anniversary

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing has announced the details of the 2015 Intaglio Print Subscription Program.

First Day of Sale: December 17, 2014 - Price $99.00 - The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is pleased to introduce its 2015 Intaglio Print Subscription Program, “Panama Canal Commemorative Program.” This year’s program will focus on the 100th anniversary of the celebration of the opening of the Panama Canal. This collection features an exquisite compilation of unique engraved vignettes from the 1915 California State and World’s Fairs. Also featured in this collection are the Panama-Pacific Exposition Issue postage stamps.

“Panama Canal Commemorative Program” intaglio print collection will consist of three intaglio prints which includes a reproduction of the “100th Anniversary Panama-Pacific International Exposition (PPIE) Certificate” which the BEP originally produced for award winning exhibits at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition (World’s Fair) in 1915 (first day of sale: June 9, 2015). The “Eagle” and “U.S.S. San Diego” prints feature a compilation of images representative of the 1915 World’s Fair in San Francisco and the 1915 Panama-California Exposition in San Diego. The first day of sale for the “Eagle” and the “U.S.S. San Diego” are January 8, and March 24, 2015 respectively.

To participate in the 2015 Subscription Program and to ensure that you receive each intaglio print in this collection, you must subscribe by January 26, 2015. Each intaglio print will ship after its first day of sale as noted above.

The “Panama Canal Commemorative Program” subscription is $99.00, which is a savings of $21.00 off the individual card purchase price.
