2013 Ideals In Allegory JUSTICE Intaglio Print

The BEP has released the second card in the 2013 series of intaglio prints.

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is pleased to introduce the second card in a series of three intaglio prints, “Ideals In Allegory,” dedicated to female allegorical figures representing peace, justice, and liberty.

This print “Justice,” features an exquisite compilation of unique engraved allegorical vignettes focusing on the age-old art of intaglio printing.

Top Left - Vignette/Head of America (Miscellaneous Die #9560) Engraved by John T. Guilfoyle, 1918.

Top Right - Vignette/Justice (Miscellaneous Die #7032) Engraved by Marcus W. Baldwin.

Bottom Center - Vignette/Justice - Miscellaneous Die #7289 Engraved by Fredrick Pauling, 1909.

Border Design and  Oval Frames – Printed in Offset.
