  1. Good morning. Thanks for your message. As of right now, no, we will not be having any grading experts at our booth for the Baltimore show. We will have regular customer service reps at the show that can accept your submissions but no one that can provide an opinion on your note, unfortunately. Thanks!
  2. Hmm, the first link you included goes to this picture: Maybe the link is incorrect. At any rate, if the note is no longer in our holder, our grade would no longer be guaranteed. Unfortunately, we would not have any idea how many notes might be removed from our holders and resubmitted to PCGS or if those notes have been altered. I'm sorry we cannot be of more help in this case. Thanks!
  3. Hello. Thanks for your message. The two images you sent show different notes. You can see the serial numbers are different as well as the seal. One has a blue seal and one has a red. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thanks!
  4. We would need to see the note first before we could say for certain. If you can email a picture of the note to us we can review and let you know if this would qualify for a free reholder. You can email us at [email protected] Thank you!
  5. Good afternoon. We don't have a specific number of notes that fit into the storage bags, unfortunately. It should fit a fairly large number comfortably but you would have to check yourself to see how tightly you want to pack the graded notes into the bag. Thank you!
  6. Good afternoon. In this case there is no error on our part so we could not update anything or change anything for free. This would not be considered an error as there is no catalog which distinguishes between different watermark types of this test note (or any test note at all). The area of test notes is more or less a place of endless and mostly unknown varieties. We would advise you to send other test notes in with very clear instructions if you wanted to have specific things pointed out on the label next time and supply as much information as possible. If you provide additional informat
  7. Good afternoon. Sorry for the delay, our Research Manager was out of the country and I had to wait for him to return to get an answer for you. He advises: We asked out test note expert about his questions. First we added '& Apple' to the label. Second, our expert was not familiar with a test note without the apple. If the customer has a image/scan of this note without the apple we would like to see that. If there is really a note without the apple, this can also be because of a "MIS-CUT". The "problem" with these prints is that they are not always 100% quality, what means that the wa
  8. Good morning, Thank you for your inquiry. In order to send notes to our company for grading you would either need to become a member of the Collector's Society or find a PMG authorized dealer near you to submit the notes for you. I have included a link to our website which goes over the steps needed to sign up for membership as well as the other options you have for submitting notes. I have also included a link to the page which outlines the different grading tiers and the pricing for each as well as the current turnaround tim
  9. Hello. Thanks for your message. If the note has shifted slightly inside the holder you should be able to gently tap it back into place. If that doesn't work, you can always send it back in to us for a reholder and we would have to put it into a new holder. The holders are not completely airtight so some movement is possible within the holder. You can contact our customer service at 877-764-5570 or by email at [email protected] Thanks!
  10. Good morning. Thanks for your message. We normally would have no problem with intaglio reprints. Since these are litho reprints our graders would have to see them first before we come to a conclusion. You can find out more information about how to submit notes to us on our website here: If you have any questions, you can reach us at 877-764-5570. Thanks!
  11. All 100 would have to be for the Cabral signature in order to qualify for the special label. Thanks.
  12. Good morning. Currency with her signature is available for grading with this label for $12, however, these are only being done in bulk submissions of over 100 notes or more. Thanks!
  13. Good afternoon. Our research department advised me that we do not grade German Notgeld notes which is why we returned these back ungraded. We would credit back the grading fees for these two notes. Thanks!
  14. Good morning. Thanks for your message. You can find Confederate Currency in the book, Paper Money of the United States by Arthur and Ira Friedberg. The catalog numbers we use would be in that book. We don't provide values for notes, unfortunately. You could take your notes to a dealer and have them appraised or you could check online to see what similar notes are selling for at auction to get an idea of value. If you have any other questions, you can reach our customer service department at 877-764-5570 or by email at [email protected] Thank you!
  15. Good afternoon. No problem, I checked with our research department and it does look like these specific test notes should have the serial number listed. You can send the note back to us for a correction and we will get that added to the label at no charge. Just complete a new submission form and notate "mechanical error" at the top and then notate that the serial number is missing and we will get that fixed for you. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service department at 877-764-5570 or by email at [email protected] Thank you!
  16. Yes, Elite members get a 10% discount on grading. Thanks.
  17. Looks like it wasn't listed because the number is all zeros and would be for any note of this type. Because multiple notes of this type will have all zeros, we do not list it at all. Thanks.
  18. Never having graded a particular note type before would not automatically disqualify it from grading. In this particular case, the graders just made the decision that we are not going to grade that particular note type. The notes we grade are ultimately up to our graders and that can change over time. So a note that we may have graded in the past may not currently be graded and vice versa.
  19. Based on the notes in our system, this is a type of note that we are not currently grading. It would be listed as "ineligible type" and you would not be charged any grading fee on that. Thanks.
  20. No, a dealer account would be different. Dealers have to go through a lengthy application process, provide references, etc. Elite members of our Collector's Society would just pay an annual membership fee.
  21. Sure, you can provide the submission number and we can take a look. Thanks.
  22. Good morning. For test notes the labels do tend to be a little more vague since there can be a number of different variations and they will all end up as unlisted numbers. Rather than end up with many similar but slightly different varieties, we sometimes just put them under one blanket unlisted number. If you would like to send the note back in for a reholder and specify to have that added to the label, we can do that but you would have to pay the regular reholder fee. Thank you.
  23. Good afternoon. I had our research department check on this and they would like the certification number so they can investigate this further. Please provide that number from the back of the label. Thanks!
  24. Please send us the certification number of the notes in question and we can check and see why they were not graded. Thanks.
  25. Good morning. As long as you provide your account number and your information on the form, you would not have to do anything different. However, unless you are also an authorized dealer, you would not receive dealer pricing. If you are a Collector's Society member you would just get the regular Collector's Society pricing. Thanks.
