    Bad grade

Good morning, Thank you for your post. I'm sorry your note did not receive the grade you were expecting. You are welcome to send any note back to us for a regrade at any time. However, we cannot guarantee that the grade of the note will change. If you do want to have your note regraded, you would need to choose a regular grading tier and pay the grading fee for that tier. If you have any questions, you can reach us at 971-309-1001 or by email at [email protected] Thank you.
  2. Good afternoon, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not provide values for the notes that we grade. You might want to consult a coin and currency dealer or you could check auction websites such as Heritage or Stacks, to see what similar notes are selling for. You could also try these websites to get an idea of value: www.trackandprice.com or www.greensheet.com. If you have any other questions, you can reach our customer service department at 941-309-1001 or by email at [email protected] If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thank you!
  3. Good morning, Thank you for your question. Specimen notes would need to go under the Economy Special tier or higher. They could not go under the regular Economy tier. The Economy Special tier is specifically for notes such as specimens, error notes, proofs, etc. We no longer have any minimums in the Economy tier so you can send in as many or as few notes as you like. The only minimums we still have are in our Bulk tier, which has a minimum of 50 notes. If you have any other questions, you can reach us at 941-309-1001 or by email at [email protected] Thank you!
  4. Good morning, Thank you for your question. We do have many collectors and dealers who ship to us from Canada without issues, but I do understand your concern. You can ship your notes to us any method you prefer, however, when we ship them back to you we will send them Registered Mail through the USPS unless you have your own account with another company (FedEx, UPS, etc.). The biggest issue you might run into is with customs, which can sometimes delay receipt of your package. We do have a letter we can send to you once your invoice is completed that you can provide to Canadian
  5. Good morning, Thank you for your e-mail. In order to access our Population Report, you must be at least a free member of our Collector's Society. Once you have signed up, you can find the Pop Report on our website PMG and under the "Resources" header at the top of the page. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thank you.
  6. Good afternoon, Thank you for your post. Yes, we do grade Giori Test notes. They can go under the Economy Special tier or higher (Standard, Express or Walkthrough). If you are submitting other notes at the same time they can go on the same invoice as long as they are Standard or above. If you are submitting regular Economy or Bulk then these notes would need to go on a separate invoice and put under Economy Special. If you have any other questions, you can reach our customer service department at 941-309-1001 or by e-mail at [email protected] Thank you.
  7. Good morning, Thank you for your question. You can order PMG storage bags by completing the order form and sending it back in to our office. You can fax, mail or e-mail that order form back to us. If you have any questions, you can reach customer service at 941-309-1001. Thank you. https://www.collectiblesgroup.com/resources/pdf/order-forms/pmg-bags.pdf
  8. Good morning, Thanks for your question. Anything that has the term "as made" on the label means that it happened during the printing process of the notes and not at some later date. So in this case, there was an ink mark on the note that occured during the printing process. If you have any other questions, you can contact customer service at 941-309-1001 or by e-mail at [email protected] Thank you!

  10. Good morning, Thank you for your question. The R3 you are referring to means "Run 3." This refers to a specific serial number range in the BJ block. The serial number range would be B72000000J - B99999999J. If you have any other questions, you can reach PMG customer service at 941-309-1001 or by e-mail at [email protected] Thanks!
  11. Good afternoon, I apologize for the lateness of this reply. We are still trying to work out the bugs on this new chat board system, so I have only just seen your question. The term "previously mounted" means that there are appearances on the note that indicate that it had been mounted to something in the past (card stock, album, etc). Characteristics of this would be paper pulls, adhesive on the note, hinges (hinges were used to mount notes for display and leave a glue-like substance when removed. If you have any other questions, you can reach us at 941-309-1001 or by e-mail as s
  12. Hello, sorry for the late reply. We are still getting out all the bugs on these new chatboards. To answer your question, Confederate notes would be considered US notes. If you have any other questions, you can contact us at 941-309-1001 or by e-mail as [email protected] Thanks!
  13. Good morning, Thank you for your question. Yes, authorized PMG dealers do have their own pricing. In order to become an authorized PMG dealer there is an application process you would need to go through. To be considered, you must have been in the numismatics business for at least 1 year and you must provide at least 4 numismatic references. Just like with Collector's Society members, there is no annual minimum number of notes required. If you are interested in applying to become an authorized PMG dealer, we can send you over the paperwork you will need to begin the process. Y
  14. Good morning, Thank you for your question. Some notes, such as scrip notes, may not have catalog numbers. In a case of scrip notes, we do not charge if you do not list those. For regular notes or confederate notes, you can put the regular Friedberg number. If you are not certain, put the number you think it is and we will double check it when it comes in. As long as you make an attempt to list the catalog number, you will not be charged. You can find these FR numbers in the book, "Paper Money of the United States" by Arthur and Ira Friedberg. If you have any other questions, pl
