  1. BEP 1995 RUNS - ONE DOLLAR BACK PLATE ERROR The was reholder to show the corrected information on the PMG note data cover in the holder that show FR number and other information. The photo show the reholder note. FR #1922-Ibpe See more journals by STEVE R
  2. Now my scan Heritage says, "The margins are outstandingly large for this type, and the gold inks are as deeply colorful as we have ever seen them. PMG likely saw some very minor flaw with the note out of the holder, but in the holder its obvious original embossing along with its other attributes makes it look like a 65 EPQ to us. From The Yuri Solovey Collection" Now look at their scan compared to mine once I received the note. When will this monkey business stop!!?? I expect it from Ebay trolls, but a fine Auction House?? BEP NEW RUNS - ONE thru HUNDRED DOLLARS NOTES with STARS The closing out of the 2013 series notes, the first printing were in November of 2013, could be change out within the next two years with the changing of the existing Treasurer of the United States or the Secretary of the Treasury, the year could be as soon as 2018 or 2020 with the printing delay with new series notes. The 2013 notes came in under the presidency of Barack Obama's under his second term, the newly elected presidency will have a change of appointing a new Secretary of the Treasury and a Treasurer of the United State. 9. The best grades are not always the greatest eye appeal. My $20 large note gold certificate collection is almost complete, only lacking the Fr-1179. As you may know the Fr-1179 and 1180 are the technicolors so you will forgive me if I only have one of the two in my collection? This reverse is my most wonderful. I love it dearly. 10. New Note Notifications for the Novice Well I have just entered the exciting world of collecting notes, currency, or paper money as it is called in the trade. I recently purchased 89 notes graded by CGA the olde, and as we all know that holder is not from the promised land, but a grader which fell into the lower regions for various reasons. I got two books on paper money; my favorite so far is the Whitman Encyclopedia of U.S. Paper Money. My send favorite is Paper Money of the United States by Friedberg. There is a third one which I use at shows for quick ID'ing and evaluations. Unfortunately, like Morgan Silver Dollars, there are so durn many varities of monies that it is a challenge every day trying to figure the value of odd notes. This first foray into paper money began with a small collection purchased from a fellow who was changing horses mid-stream so I relieved him of the 89 pieces. There were 65 of the 89 worth re-grading and I just got back the main stash information today, and will receive them physically in the mail in a day or two. I will then upload pictures and complete phase two of this journal with as many pictures as I can raise up. The excitement here is in the fact these notes are of special interest due to special serial numbers, star notes, signed notes and so on and so forth. Four sets of them, 12 each, are one from each district with exactly the same serial numbers. One set is particularly captivating in that not only are the serial numbers all the same, but one from each district, and the serial numbers are 00001111. Some computer geek will slobber all over the album just ogling it. Two more of the sets also have neato serial numbers, and one from each district and the fourth set, my favorite, is one which has one from each district, and the serial number 00000039 plus they are star notes, all of them, and the fact they are signed by the mint director also. The others which I shall talk about later are all fun, and some more beguiling than others. Well, happy searching hope you find a treasure soon. Capt. Brian See more journals by CaptBrian1
  11. BEP ADDING 2013 ONE DOLLAR NOTES with STARS In checking the last updated www.uspapermoney.info in October shows that one new run of Fort Worth Facility, Kansas J10 stars notes, in September of 2016 with a run of 250,000 or 5,000 sheets, this is the first 2013-J* stars notes printed. Also in June, from the Fort Worth Facility is the second run of NEW YORK B2 with B/C and B/E block. Also the first run B2 Star notes with a run of 6,400,000 notes. You will see the slots added to the sets over the next six to eight months with addition of other districts sets notes. The following notes have been printed, are the Washington DC 2013 Fr #3002-C, E, E stars. The following notes were added to the sets, they are the FR #3002 C/C block and the Fr #3002 E/E block to this set, both notes are in PMG for grading at this time. Take a look at this Set Type - $1 Federal Reserve Notes- District Set with Stars and Varieties. See more journals by STEVE R
  12. It really doesn't matter what grading company one uses. The standards are so well-defined and tight now that the value of a note has almost no wiggle room. As you can see here, I wanted a reputable company to grade a note. Of course, it was a waste of money since the note graded the same thus the value remained the same. Anyone note any sarcasm? That's because there is plenty!! I knew the note would not grade as well. I thought perhaps a 58EPQ would be the lowest but more likely a 62EPQ. Holy cow. What does this say about our hobby as an investment??? See more journals by Sheck_Shiek
  13. UPDATE ON 2013-A and G STAR NOTES In this Set Type - $1 Federal Reserve Notes -- District Set with Stars and Varieties. The Registry have added the new 2013 Fr #3002-A DC and 2013 Fr #3001-G FW both star notes have come back from PMG graded but not added to the set, they will be added after the scoring is completed, see photo below.
